Biography
Kevin Greene was appointed Minister for Gaming and Racing as well as Minister for Sport and Recreation as part of the Rees Government. He was previously the Minister for Community Services. He has been a Member of the New South Wales Parliament since he was first elected in 1999 as the Member for Georges River.
In his time in Parliament he has served as the Chair of the Public Works Committee. Prior to his election, Kevin was the Principal of St Brendan’s Primary School and had been a teacher for 18 years.
Kevin is as an active member of his community, and is currently the patron of many local organisations, including the Forest Rangers Soccer Club, Mortdale RSL Sub Branch and Oatley RSL Youth club.
As a keen cricketer Kevin is the President of the St George District Cricket Association and has coached various junior cricket, soccer and netball teams. He currently manages his youngest son’s soccer team. He is also a mad supporter of the St George Illawarra Dragons NRL team.
Kevin and his wife Frances have six children.
